For one year only Triumph has released a limited edition version of the Trident 660, celebrating Triumph racing excellence.
The Trident 660 Triple Tribute Edition introduces a fresh new look with bold racing graphics paying tribute to the legendary 'Slippery Sam', five-time consecutive winner of the Isle of Man TT (1971-1975). With enhanced quality, performance, and handling the Triple Tribute Edition comes with Triumph Shift-Assist, fly screen, and belly pan all as standard for the ultimate racing-inspired, middle-weight roadster.
The Triple Tribute is, of course, a Trident 660 through and through with its minimalistic clean lines, uncluttered design, and exceptional fit and finish, but has taken a modern approach to Triumph's racing heritage with an iconic white, blue, and red color scheme inspired by 'Slippery Sam's triple-engine race-winning machine. On the side of the tank is a dynamic race plate-inspired '67' graphic, the same number the five-time Isle of Man TT winner used, along with a colour-matched flyscreen and belly pan for finishing touches.
Along with striking new paintwork, the Triple Tribute comes standard with Triumph's Shift-Assist. For higher performance, the Triumph Shift Assist 'Up & Down Quickshifter' is engineered for seamless city riding and fun open road rides, allowing for swift and smooth gear changes without clutch engagement, even at low RPM levels. To maximise safety and rider enjoyment the model also comes with road and rain riding modes along with switchable traction control. These are controlled on the coloured TFT instrument display designed for easy rider interaction on the move, and to clearly present key information to the rider.
Of course, we can't speak about any version of the Trident 660 without talking about the impressive triple engine. The 660 triple engine derives from Triumph's multi-class leading sports performance triple platform, delivering a perfect balance of low-down torque and exhilarating top-end power for optimum thrill and responsive performance. Putting out 80 BHP @ 10,250 RPM and 64 Nm torque @ 6,250 RPM, the Trident 660 embodies an agile and confidence-inspiring ride signature to Triumph with its chassis set-up and high-spec equipment, including premium Showa upside-down forks, Showa RSU, and Nissin brakes. With a narrow profile, perfectly positioned foot pegs, low 805mm seat height, adjustable brake lever, and lightweight slip and assist clutch, the Trident delivers a comfortable and confidence-inspiring ride. Even for newer riders the Trident is a great choice with the option to have an accessory-fit kit applied to restrict the bike, making it suitable for A2-licence riders. This can be de-restricted back to full power at one of our Triumph dealerships.
